Malvika came to the understanding that the use of data was becoming an integral part of any person’s career and as a result, started taking classes in programming to see if this, in fact, was something she enjoyed. Fast forward a year to Malvika finishing up post-bac classes and working on a text analytics project for medical records before beginning MIDS. She hopes to apply what she learns to healthcare, but is also excited to explore other fields where data science is applicable, including finance and consulting.
