Avani was raised in Hong Kong and spent a decent amount of time in the US before returning back to Asia to work. She has been working in the marketing field, primarily surrounding the management and implementation of analytical business strategies.

Over the past few years, Avani has found she was much more interested in the technical and mathematical aspects of analytics, and decided to apply to MIDS in the hopes of merging her management skills with those necessary to be a data scientist. Her goal is to apply that new skill-set to the film and television industry, specifically streaming analytics.
