Stephen Jeselson is the head of U.S. Bank’s Private Capital and Global Asset Management division (PCGAM). PCGAM brings together all elements of the bank that currently serve more than 300 private capital clients with a range of products and services, including investment management services, fund and leveraged finance, capital markets underwriting and distribution, and payments and depository services. U.S. Bank is differentiated by its product offerings with market leadership in Corporate Trust and Global Fund Services to private capital and other fund managers.
Prior to assuming leadership of PCGAM in 2024, Mr. Jeselson served as a managing director, having joined the bank in 2019, helping lead the bank’s financing of private equity firms and their portfolio companies. He has more than 25 years’ experience partnering with private equity fund managers to help them succeed.
Mr. Jeselson has banked private equity sponsors since 1997, beginning his career at Lehman Brothers. From 2003 – 2004, he served as Director at Capital Dynamics, the Swiss-based private equity structuring boutique. From 2004 – 2007, he worked at RBC Capital Markets, where he served as Vice President and then Director in the Leveraged Finance Group. From 2007 – 2018, Mr. Jeselson served as Deputy General Manager / Managing Director, Head of Origination at Mizuho Bank, where was responsible for co-founding the U.S. leveraged finance and sponsor coverage strategy in the Americas and for executing upon the strategy.
Mr. Jeselson earned his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management, concentrating in Finance. He holds an AM in English Literature from the University of Chicago. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with an AB in Honors English. Mr. Jeselson is a registered Series 24 Principal and holds the Series 7 and 63 registrations.
