Shanon brings extensive experience in program management, event planning, marketing, and industry engagement. Since joining Duke in 2021, she has helped lead programs and events for the Department of Mathematics, the Rhodes Information Initiative at Duke (iiD), TRIPODS@Duke, the Simons Collaborative, and the Mathemalchemy exhibition.
As Senior Program Coordinator for MIDS, Shanon coordinates capstone collaborations, career fairs, workshops, and opportunities that connect students with organizations and prepare them for successful careers in data science.
Before Duke, Shanon held marketing and event leadership roles across higher education, legal services, technology, and financial services, where she specialized in creating engaging experiences, developing strategic partnerships, and managing programs from concept to execution.
