Laura brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, student services, and professional education. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences, supporting student success, and building partnerships that connect education with real-world impact.

Before joining MIDS, Laura held several leadership roles at Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment, where she led continuing and executive education programs focused on environmental leadership, climate, and sustainability. Earlier in her career, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, developed intercultural education programs with AFS, and worked in science policy and communications with the Ecological Society of America.

As Assistant Director of Student Affairs for MIDS, Laura leads student advising, career development, and student support initiatives while overseeing program operations and collaborating with campus and industry partners to ensure an exceptional student experience.
