Research

Between volleyball and school, Kirsten hasn’t had much time for a traditional job or internship. She was able to intern at a sports analytics startup a couple of years ago, which, along with her coursework, allowed her to discover her passion for data. Kirsten would like to be able to apply data science to either the travel industry or real estate, but it is possible that her interests will change over time.

“I have loved interning at the Action Network and being able to continuously learn at an innovative, growing sports media company with talented and dedicated people. During my internship, I have been able to work with several departments, applying the skills I have acquired in data manipulation, statistical modeling, data visualization, and text analysis to a variety of projects, from analyzing user behavior to facilitating content production decisions.”
