Our application for fall 2024 is closed. If you have applied for MIDS 2024, please note that an interview might be required and will take place mid to late March.  All admissions decisions will be made by March 31st. Thank you for your patience.

  • MIDS is committed to the idea that data science is fundamentally a “team sport,” and that working successfully in teams is a skill that can be taught and must be practiced. As part of your online application, you must upload a one-page, single-spaced, essay on teamwork. Describe your approach to working in teams. Include concrete examples of times that interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills have proven critical in your life, or times you learned about the value and challenges of working with people who hold different perspectives.
  • Providing a recorded video response is required. The video recording platform and prompt is available within the online application.
