A resource fair is a convenient way to access local vendors like banks, cell phone providers, and other campus resources. There will be informational materials and giveaways - all in one location.

Campus tours will leave from the IHOP (International House Orientation Peers) Info Desk every 30 minutes. 
Each tour will be led by a current graduate student IHOP.

 

International House of Peers – Dinner in Downtown Durham - Non U.S. Residents only

Sign up at the IHouse table at the Resource Fair. Bring $15-$20 for dinner.

  • Carpool with classmates who have a vehicle on campus
  • Take either the Go Durham Bus 400 from Towerview bus stop (one transfer at the Durham Bus station downtown to take Bus 4 which then drops off at the corner of W. Geer and Rigsbee where The Pit BBQ is located) or from Gross Hall take the Bull City Connector bus (stops in Brightleaf Square area and then on to West Geer St. at Riggsbee). There is a bus stop right on the corner of Greer and Rigsbee for students to catch the bus home.

Graduate Student Orientation

The orientation is intended to help new students transition to graduate school by providing information and resources. All new students should plan to attend. There will be an open question-and-answer period following the orientation. 

Lunch will be available after the session.

Penn Pavilion, 107 Union Dr.Representatives from many student groups, volunteer organizations, administrative offices, local vendors (e.g., banks), and other establishments will be set up at tables offering information.
